Aberfoyle Hub R-7 School

Aberfoyle Hub R-7 School, located 20km from the Adelaide CBD, strives for excellence, fosters creativity, tolerance of others and provides broad learning experiences. Collaboration and adhering to the values of respect, relationships, friendships and responsibility underpin all that we do. Our school has a significant emphasis on R-7 literacy and numeracy development for all students which are complemented by Spanish, health and physical education and sustainability programs. All classrooms and two computer suites are linked to the internet. Other special features include interactive whiteboards, access to laptops, iPads and a multimedia hub. We actively support intervention, extension and enrichment learning for all students. A wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities is provided including Pedal Prix, Festival of Music, Jump Rope for Heart, out-of-school sports and instrumental music. Input from the local community is both valued and welcomed. We have an active and supportive governing council that takes a key role in fundraising, oversight of grounds and facilities, staffing the canteen and OSHC, and policy development and review. There is active involvement of family members, volunteers, mentors and our Pastoral Care Worker in all classroom programs, resource centre, canteen and extra-curricular activities within our school community.
